It is getting bigger!!!

I mentioned it in my post yesterday but I am sure that the nasty little lump is on the move again. I don't make a point of feeling the nodule every day or anything like that but every so often I do have a check of it and over I guess the last year it has not really increased in size substantially but yesterday morning I was checking it and was convinced that it has increased in size.....

My wife came into the room and so I asked her to check as she knows a little bit about my lump and sure enough she said that it was much easier to find than before and to her felt much bigger, woooo I thought I was right it is getting bigger.

What does it getting bigger means though? Well apart from it being more painful (which it is) and I don't know if this is because it is growing or if it is because of the increased size of the lump either way it is hurting more. It also means that as far as I can tell from the research that I am a better candidate for radiotherapy. Radiotherapy is best performed on an active nodule, this is because it is more effective on growing cells and why it works so well on cancer cells.

So although in the short term the lump growing is a bad thing and is making things much worse at the moment it does mean that should I ever here back from the guy I have e-mailed about radiotherapy (he is really bust but it has been 2 weeks now) I might get better results.

Anyway onto some good news, today my wife and I are going out to dinner with a lot of my family to celebrate the 60th wedding anniversary of my Nan and Grandad. Congratulations to them and I hope one day to reach this same milestone.
